Dear comrades, members of the Ongoing International campaign in solidarity with the Colombian political prisoners

The political prisoners at el Buen Pastor Women's Prison gratefully receive all the initiatives you carry out in Solidarity with the Political Prisoners, men and women. We highly appreciate the support that different political and social movements have put together, in a show of unity, especially when the real situation that the political prisoners has been ignored by some and hidden by others.
Under the current government, the State practices terror in all forms in order to silent any opposition. Any social or political activist is at risk of losing his or her freedom. This is why an International Campaign in Solidarity with the Colombian Political Prisoners is needed, to denounce and make visible to the general public all the abuses against the political prisoners; these denounces should be part of the demands put forward by different social and political organisations.
From prison, we receive your initiative and offer you our support to continue your work. We need you to know that we want to be active participants of your campaign from where we are, and would not like to be excluded for our condition of being imprisoned.
From prison we keep our tasks of denouncing, organising, and finding ways to publicly expose our situation as political prisoners, hoping our work is reflected in the respect for our rights, for a dignified life in prison, and for our prompt release. With the same spirit, we support the humanitarian exchange of political and war prisoners, and we will not be stopped in our efforts to achieve a country in peace and with social justice. We invite you all to continue to be part of this search.
